BULOVA

The Bulova Watch Company is a renowned American watchmaker with a rich history that spans over a century. The company was founded in 1875 by Joseph Bulova, a 23-year-old Czech immigrant, in New York City. Initially, Bulova focused on manufacturing and selling jewelry, including pocket watches. By 1911, the company began producing wristwatches, which were still considered relatively new at the time. By the 1920s, Bulova introduced various innovations that set them apart in the watch industry.

In the 1970s, the Bulova Watch Company faced financial challenges and went through a series of ownership changes until 2008 when Citizen Watch Co. Ltd. of Japan purchased the Bulova Watch Company and formed the Citizen Watch America subsidiary.

Today, Bulova continues to create a wide range of watches known for their precision, craftsmanship, and design. Their collections include both classic and contemporary styles, offering quartz, automatic, and precisionist movements. This is a pre-owned Bulova Precisionist 262kHz wristwatch with “Champlain style” ref. 98D149 and dated from 2019.

Powered by Bulova’s proprietary three-prong quartz crystal Precisionist movement with a 262kHz vibrational frequency (eight times greater than standard quartz watches) for unparalleled accuracy.

Cased in a 46.5mm round two-tone case, all in grey IP stainless steel and rose gold-tone accents (case and bracelet).

Stunning two-tone black/grey textured dial with calendar date indicator. Gorgeous 11 diamonds individually hand set on the dial. Curved mineral glass, screw-back case and screw-down crown. 300M water resistance.

The watch is coming with the original Bulova two-tone stainless steel bracelet fold-over buckle closure with safety lock and extender. Also, in original Bulova display box and extra links for the bracelet.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to size.
 
We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust lighting when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
